According to the VeroFORECAST™ for the first quarter of 2019, the overall trend just continues the slowing that appeared in the previous quarter. The good news for Midland though is that we aren’t among the slowing markets.

Several unexpected hot spots have been identified according to Realtor Magazine. Now, we don’t really think that Midland being a hot spot is really that unexpected, because our economy is thriving in the Permian Basin. We are pleased that among the 20 hottest metros, Midland came in third place though!

The Realtor Magazine list shows how fast homes sell, or how many “days on the market” and the number of listing views are recorded. These indicate buyer demand. We don’t think that anyone is surprised that Midland has high buyer demand, but it’s a great topic to talk about! People are flocking to Midland, because of the strong economy the oil industry is showing.

The only metros that came in ahead of Midland were Columbus and Boston.
